FAQ 196: [R]esponsibilities as a maintainer or member of an adult-oriented community

FAQ 196 still contains information such as restrict membership to the community only to users whose birthdates on their userinfo page indicate that they are over the age of 18. All future members must display their full birthdate, including year, on their User Info page.
It should probably be updated in some manner to reflect the new content ( Read more... )

A lot of times changes to the Abuse FAQs are discussed in lj_abuse first. I agree we need to discuss these policies in light of content-flagging and update the FAQs, though, but I'm sure it will be done in the other comm :D

Perfect. I couldn't find anyone in chat and figured it was best to say something, while I thought of it, rather than not. That's why I didn't even bother coming up with a suggestion; I just wanted to be sure that it was known.

*pokes for a reprompt of this suggestion/rewording/discussion/what-have-you*

I'd've thought that with communities now being flaggable that this'd be changed by now. I'm poking/prompting/asking/etc. 'cause I've just been caught out by it - went to join a comm. asking for the full birth-date info. thinking the 'law' would've been relaxed on the whole full birth-date stuff by now.

Please, can someone sort it.
