A few days ago, I started to get the "Client error: No mode specified" when I tried to post to LJ using my client. Sometimes it would work, and sometimes it wouldn't. I've just discovered that I can't get any challenges anymore in my LJ client. I get an error response saying that I did not specify a mode. But until ten minutes ago, everything was working fine...

I am working on the project where I am importing community entries to the web site. I faced with strange behaviour of getevents method. I am getting truncated Xml response code when there is a large posts among the response list. There is a big in the admin console when adding a friend. This exists on the current LJ installation as well as any site using the code. When you add a friend via the console who is already a friend of yours, their groupmask gets wiped out.

The bug is in cgi-bin/LJ/Console/Commands/Friend.pm here is a diff that I created that seems to fix it.

Cookies seem to be rejected on ports other then 80.
I have it up and running however I am getting the loopback to home page error on login.

Is it posible to use LJ on a port other then 80, for example 8080?
If so what are the correct settings for $COOKIE_DOMAIN? Or do I need to change something else entirely? I have tried ".hostname.com ( Read more... )

I'm getting an invalid response back when doing a call to getfriends.  I'm expecting "name" and "fullname" to be strings - but when the name is entirely numeric it's returned as an int instead.  See this response segment for an example ( Read more... )
