I made it out to the Meet & Greet today, and I'm glad I did. It's good to get out of the house, and I saw a couple of friends I haven't seen in a while. Got some pretty disturbing news from two of them, though: one was injured by some falling boxes at Walmart (I resisted making a smart remark about shopping there), and another's wife left him. Oy. I had a nice time last night at the Melissa Ferrick concert at the Iron Horse. She's a really good singer (and guitarist), and she told funny stories in between (and sometimes during) songs. The crowd was made up of mostly avid and appreciative fans, and she seemed to be really enjoying herself. Her fanbase seems to be mostly made up of lesbians ( ( Read more... )

I set the alarm for this morning, which was a good thing, because I was really tired and would never have been able to make it to Vinnie's dad's funeral on time otherwise.
