It was like summer outside today, and I headed out soon after breakfast and a shower this morning to the park. Holy cow, was it lovely!
As I was walking into the garden, my phone rang, and it was Vinnie telling me he was going to be coming to the meet & greet later on. I told him that I was surrounded by tulips.
There were also wildflowers on the forest path, and flowering trees. Over by the meetinghouse, I found a goose who was up the hill and far away from the pond. She looked like she was either nesting, or in distress, so I found an employee and told him that they might want to check her out and make sure she's OK. He looked dubious, but said he would. I'll go back tomorrow to check on her. Go here to see her and all the rest.
Then I headed home, changed clothes, and went over to B&N for the meet & greet. I had invited Raven Grimassi, a Pagan author, to join us as he had just moved to Springfield. That's also why Vinnie was joining us, as they both practice Strega (Italian Witchcraft). Raven and his wife are lovely people, and we had several spirited conversations, comparing traditions, politics, and differences between the West and East coast (they moved here from CA). We made plans to have a photo walk next month, at Stanley Park this time (and to which anyone is welcome: it's on Sunday the 24th, at 1:00). We all had a really nice time.
I turned on the A/C for the first time this year, in both the car and the apartment, as it was nearly 90 today and sunny. Tomorrow promises more of the same. I think I shall have to get out early!
