I swear, things never go as I plan them!

At around 5:30 PM, I decided to go run some errands and then go to Starbucks to read, because it just wasn't happening with the distraction of AIM nearby. Starbucks was too packed however, so I got my coffee and then came back to campus. I parked across from Weimer and walked up to Turlington originally planning on studying in Marsten. Then I remembered the nice comfy couches in the Performing Arts Center, and decided that would be my study spot.

An hour later, my phone rang. I was expecting it to be Waxlax or Shylie because we had plans to see Anchorman, but instead it was Scafidi. He told me Michael Moore was FINALLY going to be on Bill O'Reilly so I left to go to rock104. O'Reilly was actually at the democratic convention...very brave of him. Moore proceeded to make himself look like an ass... he's just so extreme. O'Reilly definitely stole the show, but I didn't expect it to pan out any other way.

After the show I reminded him that I wanted a copy of the CD from the road trip so he burnt me a copy (which I'm listening to now...yay!) and then he looked through their CD collection to see if he had any free CDs that I would want. He mentioned the Killers, which I jumped at, but he couldn't find the box so he just gave me his copy. Woot! Two free CDs in one night =). So I was trying to call Waxlax and Shylie because it was getting late, and while I was waiting for them to call back, Matt got this HILARIOUS phone call from some ACR trying to win tickets to 311. I was having to cover my mouth to keep from hysterically laughing and Matt kept almost laughing as well... The caller sounded a lot like the guy from King of the Hill... the country accent was so BAD. So after he hung up, we just started laughing and then he was like: "Oh, that's going on the air." So he took it and edited it with a background of "Dueling Banjos". I left before he played it on the air, but the finished product was hilarious.

I can't believe he's only on rock104 for another week. *tear*

So then Waxlax finally got his ass out of bed (at 9:30 PM because he stayed up all night...again) and we rushed to make it to the movie. Apparently Shylie had already made other plans, so it was just us. Anchorman was pretty funny, but not as funny as Old School. "Brick" and Vince Vaughn made the movie, if you ask me. lol. While I was at the radio station I'd realized that I'd skipped dinner and since Waxlax had slept through dinner, we had midnight dinner at Perkins. Good times.

So, my "errands, starbucks, reading" away message was up for about seven hours all together. And how much reading did I get done? Ah, college is grand.

scafidi, waxlax, shylie, movies
