The Legend Legacy: 1.4

Dec 07, 2011 03:34

Hello, Simmers. Look at your legacy, now look at mine. Look back at your legacy- NOW back to mine. Sadly, my legacy isn't yours, but I'm building it as we speak. Look down, now back up. Where are you? You're in Sunset Valley, heading to Sun Song Avenue where the Legend family lives.

Anything is possible when you play The Sims 3.

Previously at the Legends, Jude, Story, Roman, and Flynn all had birthdays. Jude and Story are both now adults, Roman is a teenager, and Flynn is a child. Quill remains a toddler, and not as whiny lately due to the fact he was an only toddler until Story had another baby, the first girl of the batch, Nara. I also discovered that adults can woohoo in tree houses, which Jude and Story proceeded to accomplish as well as getting knocked up again. And last but not least, we found that Roman is the perfect teenager. On with the show!

Butterbumps makes a good home in the tree house, since most of the time Flynn is trying to run away from him.

Butterbumps: He'll come back... they always do...

Ooooookay, let's segue from that creep into the part of the show wherein Brandi tested everything Generations had to offer.

Jude: MMMM, I DON'T KNOW IF I LIKE THIS.

Roman: Like it, little guy? Isn't it great?
Quill: :3
Story: Giddy up, Nara!
Nara: -isn't sure how she feels about this-

Story: See? The pony is your friend!
Nara: I'm on a horse.
(I'm sorry, I had to work it in, and since I don't have Pets- NEXT BEST THING.)

As soon as the toddlers cleared the way, Flynn got more use out of the pirate ship.

Flynn: YO HO, YO HO, A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME!

After Jude was done playing with the water slide, he decided to teach Roman how to drive.

Jude: Yeah, you can take your foot off the break... yup, any minute now, son...
Roman:... -so nervous he can't move- I can't feel my feet.
Jude: -poker face-

Flynn started paying more attention to Butterbumps, since Roman started focusing more on school and helping with the toddlers. The IFs are growing on me, but they're a serious pain sometimes.

But don't fear, Roman still makes time for his best friend/little brother.

Roman: SPARTA!

It was during this time that Roman was looking after his three siblings that Story went into labor, and she and Jude booked it to the hospital. I figured I'd gone through this enough, I didn't have to follow them. Could they really throw off my game any more at this point?

So we have another girl! Her name is Lyric.

Yay, she's so ador- wait.

Yeah, this happened. Twins. May I remind you I wanted three children. God, Jude and Story- THIS DID NOT GO ACCORDING TO PLAN, I GIVE YOU TWO ONE JOB AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENS. No more woohooing in the tree house.

That being said, Lynna and Lyric are friggin' adorable. Lynna especially tugs at my heart strings, omg, her face. OBSERVE!

I love her. Also, I can't help but read her name as Lyanna, and this being a Game of Thrones tinted legacy- FITTING.

I think Story was actually okay with having twins. And if Jude was happy over one baby girl, well...

Jude: Say "I love Daddy!" Go on, Lyric, say it!

Jude: All right then, we can play it that way. I'll just carry you around and attack you with the claw until you say it.
Lyric: -isn't she how to feel about this-

By the way, Lyric was born with Jude's hair color, but for some reason it looks brownish in some pictures. IDK, man.

Hey, don't forget your other son!

This is where Quill aged up into a child. Alone in the nursery as his father walked away. Oh boy.

He rolled Clumsy! I like how it's a recurring trait in this generation. Eccentric and clumsy... I feel like my sims are harnassing their creator's personality. If so, spot on. Also, IDK where Quill and Lynna get their eyes from. Odd. Either way, Quill is still cute and YES, he has Jude's hair and will keep it until I say otherwise because that is my favorite hairstyle for a boy.

Surprisingly, life didn't change that much in the house what with there being four toddlers. FOUR TODDLERS. My God.

I see the number of high chairs and cringe. But, having a mentally and emotionally equipped teenager take care of one or two helps even things out.

Roman: Upsy daisy!
Lynna: Hehehe :3

This is a beautiful picture. Aside from the plumbob.

Roman loves his siblings, especially the twins. Lynna seems to be his favorite, as he's constantly wishing to tickle her or just pick her up. I smell heir material, y/y? For instance, the next morning, Roman woke up in a good mood.

Roman: Hmmm, what to do on my first Saturday as a teenager? Oh, I know!

Roman: Let's get my favorite ladies some breakfast!
<3

Lynna: NOMNOM :3

Lyric: What about me? :'(

Don't worry, Lyric, Mommy will take care of everything. But aside from that, Nara aged up as well!

I hadn't mastered angles at this point. Apologies, let me give them all to you.

Aw, she turned out rather pretty! She also rolled Good, like her mother. Also, if you're wondering why these head shots are all in this color, it's because 4 out of 6 of these children like some variation of blue. I sense a battle of colors in the future.

Nara wakes up at an ungodly hour the next day (you can see it's still rather dim outside). I have no clue why, but she jumps out of bed like a ninja. I'm chalking it up to the disciplined trait.

So she proceeds to have breakfast alone.

Nara: Quiet as a mouse...quick as a cat...a girl ought not to wear shoes when she's sneaking...

When Story gets up, she tries her hand at getting Lyric to talk, since Jude failed.

Story: Your name means words to a song! Say "music!"
Lyric: Museey?

Story: Yes, and maybe one day you can even WRITE music- you could write actual lyrics, too!
Lyric: -contemplates-

Lyric: Mmmm, Mother says it could change my life...

Lyric: What- WHAT JOYFUL NOISE IS THIS?

Roman started off the day with his favorite sister.

Roman: Good morning, starshine!

The kids came home and Nara immediately started her homework.

Nara: A girl should know her numbers and letters.

Quill: Hey sister, I'm going to do my homework with you.
Nara: A boy should study quiet-
Quill: This is HARD. I don't want to do this, Nara.

Nara: A boy should shove a sock in it.
Quill: I'm... I'm not sure what that means.

Quill: Whatever. I don't care what she thinks, I'm great.
Oh, Quill, please stay this happy and positive forever +

Since Roman has been such a perfect child, I thought he deserved some quality time outside the house, so I sent him to the neighborhood pool.

...I know that look. And it happened at this place, too.

Ah yes. Let us peruse this possibility. Meet Alice, a fellow classmate of Roman's, whom he's friends with already.

Roman: H-Hey, Alice. You look nice toda-
Alice: Roman... just the boy I need. Did you happen to do yesterday's homework?
Roman: Uh, yeah... I did.
Alice:...excellent.

Roman: I try to do all my school work as soon as possible because I take care of my sib-
Alice: That's great. Are you seeing anyone?

Roman: W-Well... no, no I'm not. :3
Alice: And you said you're good at school?
Roman: Yeah, I'm... I'm pretty good. You know Alice, you look really prett-
Alice: I think we should date. I'm now officially your girlfriend, okay? Cool

Roman: Oh... OH! Okay, yeah!
Alice: And boyfriends help girlfriends with their homework, right?
Roman: Oh yeah- of course!
Alice: Maybe even do their homework for them, right?
Roman: Um... y-yeah... I guess so?
Alice: Perfect.

Oh, Roman. This will not end well.

I didn't want to do it, but Roman rolled the want to be Alice's boyfriend, and... he's just so good, I hated saying no to what he wanted. So I made it happen.

Back at the ranch.

Nara: Calm as still water...

Quill: Come on, sand! Work with me, please?

Quill: I just can't do it.

He was still failing even when Nara was done and Flynn jumped in.

Quill: Flynn, does this look like Dad to you?
Flynn: I am AWESOME at building sand castles!

I love the treehouses. For realzies.

One of the kids rolled the want for a video game, so I said why not. It keeps them out of trouble.

Meanwhile, the toddlers played in the nursery.

Lyric: Must... compose... new... aria...

Lyric: AHA! Just call me Mozart.

Meanwhile, her twin was also doing productive things.

Lynna: One day, I'm going to own a yellow porsche, and I'll drive it faster than all the other daredevils! I'll call it Portia! I'm so original!

Lynna: I love you, Portia ++

The family had dinner while Roman was still out at the pool. I love Flynn's derp. There is no derp like it. By the time Roman DID get home, he (and everyone else) was too tired to do anything besides eat and go to bed.

This gave me an idea.

BOOM. Butler. I kid you not, her name is "Kesha." Oh lord.

After taking out the trash, Kesha goes to stare at the twins and creeps me out.

Nara tries to impress her and make friends by showing off. But Kesha remains unenthused. Or perhaps just one track minded.

Kesha: Oh yes, give me the baby... We wants her, precious...
Jude: I don't like this. I don't like this one bit.

Jude: She's MY BABY! -srs pout-

If that isn't a "FOREVER ALONE" face, I don't know what is.
Not to worry, though, Jude got his baby girls back from the alleged baby-eating butler.

Jude: What's that? UP IN THE SKY!
Lynna: OH NO D:

Jude: It's the TICKLE MONSTER! And he is MERCILESS! Who will save us!?

Jude: Daddy will.

I had a random day where all Jude and Story did was play with and snuggle the twins.

This picture is funny because it reminds me that Story finally went back to work. She hadn't worked for 30+ sim days because she was pregnant nearly back-to-back-to-back. So. There's that.

Quill: Dad, I don't think many people at school like me... I hardly have any friends.
Jude: I'm always your friend, buddy!
Quill: Really?
Jude: Always. Hey, how about I help with your homework?
Quill: Aw... thanks, Dad.

Jude: William Shakespeare... oh yeah, I know about him! Shakespeare invaded Poland on September 1, 1939, thus preciptating World War II.
Quill: ...really?
Jude: ...yep. Write that down.
Roman: Sorry family, I'd love to chat, but- I've got a DATE!

Yep, Roman got to go to prom! He was going to ask Alice, but I wanted this to be a happy memory for him not spent with a evil tramp forgot.

Prom photo! Not only did Roman dance with a girl (who was not Alice- PLEASE REMEMBER THIS), he was PROM KING! I mean, come on, did you expect anything else?

While at prom, little happened.

Jude and Lynna continued the conquest of my heart.

Nara and Flynn decided to have a pillow fight in the butler's room because she was sleeping at like, six in the evening, and they were hungry so the obvious solution is to beat your brother senseless and let out a deafening war cry to wake up the person responsible for your food. Of course.

Story got a makeover, but I kept her heels. I also didn't notice until way later that she and Lyric have the same hair style, but I figure Jude and Quill already work that, so nbd.

Roman made it home safely to dream of getting pumped up.

Roman: ...must get...muscular...to make Alice...proud...

Ugh, friggin' Alice.

Roman got up that morning and immediately gushed to Story about life. He loves his mommy, and Story basks in her children's love. Seriously, you guys, I don't think Roman had one moodswing. BEST. SIM. EVER.

If you were wondering, the twins DID learn all their skills.

Story: Now I will paint a stylized still life masterpeice: the love of my children.

So I got this pop-up while Roman was at prom saying he and "Grisby" were into each other or something. And I'm sitting here like, "Who the hell is Grisby?" And I looked at Roman's relationships and there was a HEART beside "Grisby." Soooo, I had Roman call this Grisby and invite them over to stake out this situation.

I was not prepared for this.

Roman: Oh, sorry, I'm waiting for someone.
Grisby: Hey baby, how YOU doin'?
Roman:....

EA calls this a teen. And apparently a woman. I think EA is full of shit.

Needless to say, Roman made it clear they were JUST FRIENDS.

Roman: I'm sorry, I'm already in a committed relationship...

Grisby: LET ME LOVE YOU.

Roman: I'M SORRY PLEASE LEAVE.
(omg his face is SO CUTE)

Grisby: This is what heartbreak feels like...
Roman: Real piece of work this one.

Jude and Lynna spam. I regret nothing.

After that catastrophe in the front yard, Roman called Alice and she came over because he was just a little stressed out over the entire situation.

Alice: I got you these, Roman. I know how hard you work on my- I mean, your homework. I thought you'd like something nice to put on your desk.
Roman: Alice, they're great, thanks.
Alice: Did you get that paper written for me yet?

Roman: You know me, Alice- anything for you...

Alice: Oh, Roman... those words... they make you attractive.

Roman: Really, Alice, you mean it? You know, my brother's about to have his birthday party, if you wanted to join-

Alice: Yeah. Don't forget my homework for tomorrow. I'll see you.
Roman: Wha-? Oh... oh, okay...

I refuse to comment on this. Let's just end this update with a BOOM, shall we?

Story: YAY MORE TEENAGERS! I hope he's as good as my first one!

Flynn: What do I wish for...? Oh I know- something exciting!

Flynn:...this isn't what I had in mind :(

That's okay, Flynn. But your wish was appropriate, as you rolled Excitable.

Edit: Flynn also has Good Sense of Humor, but I derped and forgot to add it.

I'm not good with facial features, but I think he looks mostly like Jude with Story's eyes.

I think Kesha likes Flynn a little too much. Her enthusiasm for him aging up... suspicious.

The Legends' new stalker paparazzi tried creeping into the party, but settled for looking in the window.

Flynn: What's the big deal? Being a teenager will be easy.

Oh sweet summer child. You know nothing, Jon Snow.

Thanks for reading! :D
