I am so angry. Let's dim the lights and settle in for a Midnight Society-type tale.
At my school, I have run into this girl (let's call her BERNICE) several times in the Spanish Dept. She is an avid lover of all things Spanish/foreign. I took note of her because of her outward fascination with travel and such. I considered her a kindred spirit. I loved her for loving all the things I love. Etc.
I heard through the grapevine that she had studied abroad in Europe one semester, and then spent a summer in Scotland... Whatever.
Then I was looking at her facebook profile and I noticed she had visited a *few too many* countries in her pictures section. And then the news came crashing down: she was traveling the world for free...because she's interning for fucking STA Travel. The whole summer, she gets to go to basically every country on the face of the earth. HER INTERNSHIP IS TO FUCKING TRAVEL THE WORLD.
OUCH.
All those different stabs (one for travel, one for world, and one for free) hurt real bad.
The jealousy burns deep within me.
