Yesterday, Marcelo and I went to see the newest Harry Potter movie, the Half-Blood Prince. (  LJ Cut to hide my movie review/rant. )

Totally exhausted.

Showered to become human again and then curled up on a comfy bed to watch the 5th Harry Potter movie.

We were told by the man at our hostel that we had plenty of time to go to several sites outside of Cuzco and that we'd make it back to town in time to catch out bus. We didn't have time at all... We saw 2.5 out of 4 of the things we wanted to see ( Read more... )

The rushed meal in Santa Teresa really disagreed with me. I was sick all morning from that and I had altitude sickness pretty badly since Cuzco is higher in the mountains than Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu. Oi ( Read more... )

We woke up early to get in a large van with lots of other tourists. There were 4 Brazilians, 1 Australian, 1 Peruvian other than the driver [Marcelo], several from Paraguay, Uruguay, Spain, and Argentina. Today we arrived in Cuzco and a man from our hostel [El Mirador del Inca] picked us up at the bus stop and helped us with our bags. We ended up staying in a room that was $25/night. The day Marcelo and I went for that walk along the park above the beach, we also went to the Larcomar mall to eat a small dinner and then took a guided radio tour of the Gold Museum there.
