When I went to the toy store with my niece over the weekend, I found this eco-friendly 12" Hello Kitty doll that's made of 100% cotton and colored with a natural dye process. That's why she looks less vibrant than most other Hello Kitty plush toys that use artificial colors. She's really soft to the touch, but she's stuffed rather firmly like an amigurumi would be (I like that).

Have any of you read The Mysterious Benedict Society? It's children's fiction that kind of has a similar vibe as Harry Potter and Lemony Snicket. I picked up the paperback at Target because I like the cover art, and also because I've seen it on the New York Times Bestseller List. I'm enjoying it so far - it's got a lot of brain teasers that are fun to solve alongside the characters.
