My life is different now. My son is gone. My arms feel weighted with emptiness. The hole he left in my heart is filled with something else, something scary...a darkness. So lonely I was without him, without anyone. Charlie, Hurley...they all left me behind. What did I do? Why was I the one to be stuck here like this?
Resentment infects my thoughts and ripples through my veins. I would never have left them. I stayed on this island because Charlie knew the truth about the boat people. And now I’m stuck here, alone in the jungle, simply waiting. Waiting for rescue that’s never going to come.
