After a weekend dreaming, and worrying about our home buying process, I was relieved to find an email from our loan officer in my mailbox this morning. Even better, it was good news! The underwirter approved our loan and on that front we are good to go. The last thing we need now is to hear back regarding the termite inspection and the appraisal and we are good to close.
I keep going back and forth between being nostalgic and missing our current place, and being really excited to move on to the next phase in our lives. We've been in our apartment for four years now, it was our first apartment together and was the home we returned to after our wedding. Walking through, there are happy memories tucked into every corner of our home.
At the same time, not a day goes by almost that I don't feel a little cramped, a little squeezed in, wishing we weren't so close to a corner, that our front space didn't attract so many cigarette butts and crack heads coveting J's bike.
While some parts of me will be sad to leave, its more than time that J and I move on.
