In which LMD misses meetings and finds a schedule
So I had a Presidential Scholars informational session today, from 10:30-12:30. It conflicted with another meeting, from 10:00-12:00, but I was able to leave that early and get to the Presidential Scholar meeting at 11:20.
Or not.
The room where it was supposed to be was completely empty, and there was no mention of such a meeting on the room use schedule. It wasn't listed in our NRB (the before-school program we've been having from Tuesday to Sunday; classes start Monday) pamphlet either.
I checked back several times. Same story each time.
I've emailed the guy who had organized it, and it turned out they went outside somewhere after it started. Go figure. It turns out not too much important stuff was discussed, but it certainly worried me and it means that I wasted the time I spent out of the other meeting. Rather a bit of a headache.
On a better note though, our concert last night was poorly attended but well performed at least (with the exception of one badly out of tune violin in the orchestra). They seemed to really like Bacchanale, esp. whenever the castanets were being used, and several people clearly recognized Palladio.
And better yet, my web access to the student info system has been un-disabled and I was able to look up my schedule, now with Japanese 1! So, most of my classes are on Tuesday and Friday. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursay, I only have one class (Calc on Mon, Thurs; art on Wed). They're morning classes, too, so on those days I'll have most of the day free without interruption.
