I surface, dear friendslist, from a haze of cookie baking and writing. I've been pretty MIA because I slid in my last Yuletide treat five minutes before reveals. I want to make some recs post, but first, HOLY MOLY, I was the lucky recipient of SIX full-length fics and a Madness treat.
When I wander home (Check Please!, Shitty/Lardo, 4206 words) - BROS IN BOSTON. There are some screamingly funny local details in here and a genuinely sweet love story to boot!
Modern Conveniences (Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, Jack/Phryne, 1918 words) - SEX TOYS FIC. The banter in this is to die for, and I love the genuine affection between Jack and Phryne.
This Revolution is Night and Day (Hamilton, Schuyler sisters, 1640 words) - THE SCHUYLER SISTERS AS SAILOR SENSHI. They have pitch perfect attack names, aaaaa!
Razo's Razo (Jupiter Ascending, Razo & Ibis & Diomika Tsing, 4599 words) - Backstory that links all three characters. I genuinely had to check to make sure this wasn't based on a comics tie-in or something, it feels that much part of the JA universe.
Birds of Prey (Hamilton, Schuyler sisters, 3057 words) - THE SCHUYLER SISTERS AS THE BIRDS OF PREY. Because what ELSE are three rich ladies going to do with all that money, other than become superheroes? *_*
American Doll Posse (Bad Blood music video, gen, 1502 words) - Vignettes for many of the characters in the Bad Blood music video and absolutely gorgeous. Also, the Tori shoutout in the title makes me so happy.
Sugar, Spice, and Everything Schuyler (Hamilton, Schuyler sisters, 629 words) - THE SCHUYLER SISTERS AS THE POWERPUFF GIRLS. A.HAM AS... well, read the treat and find out. *G*
The moral of this story is that you should ALWAYS ASK for fics about sisters as superheroes! Feeling very #blessed this Yuletide.
