Monday - #onemilemonday and lift
7:27 for the one mile Monday today.

Lifted - good lift today, didn't get bored or tired after 20 minutes like usual. Got in some good core work to start, then all the major lifts plus some extras that I don't usually do. I feel like I'm finally getting some upper body / arm definition and muscle showing! Woohoo :)

Tuesday - #10kTuesday
#itsathing #doitforthehashtag
Well this was an interesting run. First of all, I am SORE SORE SORE from lifting yesterday (yesssss). I didn't get in a morning run due to needing to leave early from work and work from home in the afternoon. I got dressed to head out for a run in the neighborhood and the bottom dropped out of the sky. YIKES. As soon as it looked like the storm was rolling out, I headed out. Got in a couple of miles and the sky started getting dark and rumbles got louder and closer, so I sprinted back home. Let the storm roll through (again) then headed out and did the second half of my run.

I got done (sub-9 pace!) and felt great, but then my Garmin decided to freeze while uploading and it erased my run. *tears* Thankfully I'd taken a photo of the results before it crapped out! Sheesh.

Wednesday - bike
Solo ride at work today. It rained in the morning so the temps were cooler but boyyyy it was humid. Did the Sherman College loop and managed 14.5 miles at 16.1 mph! Speedy! Was surprised because my legs felt tired. Very happy with this run.

Thursday - 40 min tempo run
Target pace range 9:30-8:15/mi
Treadmill for today's tempo run, once again, speedwork felt like I wasn't quite working as hard as I thought I should have been. I even bumped up my top peak target pace to 8:00/mi and still wasn't too tired out by the end. Sweating buckets? Yes. Exhausted? Eh, not really.

Trying to not get overly confident and going too far (and trying to stay injury-free!).

Anyway, started off with a 1.25mi warm-up at 9:30 pace. Bumped up to 9:00 for my first speed interval and then up 2 or 3 clicks each half mile for 4 sets (9:00, 8:40, 8:27, 8:15ish). After the 4th did a quarter mile at 8:00, then cooldown at 9:15 until the clock ran out at 40 minutes.

Friday - lift#5kFriday and core/stretching
So. This might be stupid, but I joined a challenge to run 80 miles in the month of August (technically Aug 5-Sept 5). It's being put on (hosted?) by the makers of woven wraps for baby wearing, and there's some kind of prize involved (not sure what). There's some kind of incentive for everyone who completes the challenge, but I think there's a special prize for the winner of the challenge (the first person to reach the 80 mile mark). Clearly, I am competitive, therefore I must participate. This is a time when I wish I was in marathon training, because I'd blow them all out of the water!

Anyway, this means I'm going to be running more. I need to average about 2-3 miles per day to meet this goal, and of course, the quicker I get there, the better.

So today, instead of a nice relaxing Friday workout, I started #5kFriday - yeah, another hashtag. Not sure if I'll keep it a thing, but it worked for today. Actually got 3.25 miles done at average 8:50 pace. Followed with some core and stretching.

Also, I'm currently in first place by 0.6 miles (12 hours into the challenge). LOL

Saturday - run
Took D out in the stroller to log some miles on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. We drove to Furman and started with a loop around the lake, then headed south to the train car and back. Ended up with 7.4 miles at a 9:50 average pace - longest stroller run ever, I think, and longest run since March!

Sunday - bikerest
I really wanted to get out on the bike with D in the trailer, but a combination of schedules, errands, and weather made this into a rest day. Probably a good idea.
