So, a friend of mine is talking about dressing up as Rick Astley for Halloween this year. I'm not sure why.

I suggested that the best way to make a Rick Astley Halloween costume work is to tell everyone else who's planning to attend the same party you are that you're going to be something else, then show up as Rick Astley.

Tonight I recycled my costume from 2005, and gave it a fresh coat of paint.

Also did the face with paint, rather than colored pencils. I'm a lot happier with the results, except that the dried paint is so tight I can't smile without cracking it.

Too early to start thinking about my Halloween costume this year?

I'm thinking maybe Xerxes.

Why not? This dude did. And I'm even whiter, hairier, heavier, and older than him, and therefore way funnier.
