Pairing: Yunho/Jaejoong; Yunho/Ara
Genre: AU/Romance/Humor/Drama
Rating: PG
Summary: He was supposed to plan Yunho’s wedding, not fall in love with him.

Jaejoong stared at the couple incredulously.

“Are you…are you serious?” he stuttered, despite how unprofessional it was for him to question the couple’s decision. He swallowed hard and ran a hand through his hair in confusion. “You guys want to get married in two weeks?”

Ara nodded and reached over to squeeze Yunho’s hand, “Yeah, we do.” She glanced at Yunho and smiled, “We figured there’s no point in waiting.”

Yunho smiled back at Ara and nodded, “Do you think you could pull it off in such a short time frame?”

Jaejoong gripped his pen tightly and shrugged, “I…I suppose there’s always a first time for everything.” He forced a smile, “Well, do you two at least have any plans or preferences for the wedding in terms of location or theme?”

The couple blinked at Jaejoong blankly, and the latter resisted the urge to let his head fall onto his desk in frustration.

This was going to be even harder than he had thought.

Changmin walked inside the office with a cup of coffee as soon as the couple had left his office, and Jaejoong was never happier to see the younger man.

“Thank you.” Jaejoong muttered as he took the warm cup out of Changmin’s hands. He took a sip and sighed, “This is going to be hell.”

“…yet you accepted the offer anyway.” Changmin commented as he fixed Jaejoong’s calendar to make room for the new clients, “Hyung, you could’ve easily said no.”

“No way would I let such an opportunity slip away.” Jaejoong replied as he leaned back into his chair, “Besides, the sky’s the limit in terms of expenses, so there’s less of a worry. They won’t mind being charged rush fees, and they won’t mind paying extra for other additional costs.”

“It’s quite amazing to see what money can do for people.” Changmin said as he took hold of Jaejoong’s notepad and flipped through it, “I suppose the fact they’re both extremely rich should make things a lot easier for you.”

“They do seem nice enough.” Jaejoong said aloud as he took a sip of his coffee. He let out a more content breath, “I just hope they’re easy to please. If they’re going to be so particular about everything, then that’s just going to make the job much harder.”

“Well, I don’t think -“

The door to the office creaked open, and both men glanced at the door. Jung Yunho poked his head through the door, “I’m sorry. Is it alright if I talk to you Mr. Kim?”

“I’ll go back to my desk.” Changmin said as he slipped past Yunho and allowed for the men to speak in private. Just as he was about to leave completely, he turned around to speak, “Hyung, make sure to eat before two, because you have an appointment.”

Jaejoong nodded, “Thank you for reminding me, I’ll make sure to do so.”

As soon as the door closed, Jaejoong gestured for Yunho to sit down. “You can call me Jaejoong by the way. I hate being called Mr. Kim by my clients - it makes me feel like I’m ancient.”

Yunho chuckled, “Well, you can call me Yunho then, and I’m sorry for making you feel old.” He smiled brilliantly at Jaejoong, “I just wanted to apologize to you.”

“For?” Jaejoong asked as he fixed his notes. He raised an eyebrow, “I didn’t think there was anything in our conversation that you would need to apologize for. You both were perfectly -“

“We’re both clueless, especially me.” Yunho interrupted, “I’m sorry for placing such a heavy burden on your shoulders -“

“You’re paying me to take care of this burden though.” Jaejoong said with a smile.

Yunho laughed but replied seriously, “Despite that Jaejoong, preparing a wedding is still no easy task, and we want you to accomplish something major in two weeks. It’s going to bring you a lot of stress, and for that I apologize.”

“You really don’t have to.” Jaejoong said weakly, “I mean, who am I to protest or to judge you both? Love is love, and you two love each other so -“

“Just let me apologize for the stress.” Yunho interrupted lightly, “There’s no need to be so polite.” His eyes crinkled as he smiled, “I am serious about this wedding, and I promise to be cooperative, and to help you as much as possible.”

Jaejoong felt his heart flutter a little, and he cleared his throat. “Well, that’s always good.” He smiled, “I look forward to working with you Yunho.”

“Same here.”

Yunho stood up and held his hand out to Jaejoong, “Once again, thank you so much for what you’re doing for us. You’re absolutely perfect.”

Jaejoong blushed slightly and laughed, “I’m not, trust me. You should just ask Changmin about how terrible I am.” He shook Yunho’s hand, “Don’t forget that the first thing we’re planning tomorrow is going to be the cake, so be prepared to eat dozens of slices of fancy cake.”

“Don’t worry, I’ve had a lifetime of experience with fancy cake.” Yunho replied with a smile, “I look forward to meeting you tomorrow.” He added before he turned around and left the room.

Jaejoong watched Yunho leave the room, and as soon as the door was shut, he sighed and plopped back down onto his chair.

“Why are the good ones always taken?” he muttered as he began to call several of the city’s bakeries in order for them to prepare some samples.

“Are the rest of the things on our to-do list going to be this easy?” Yunho questioned as he took another bite of cake.

Jaejoong glanced at the man in amusement and replied bluntly, “No.”

Ara laughed at the childish expression on Yunho’s face and swatted him, “Stop eating so much, or else you’re going to get fat.” She glanced at Jaejoong, “Where are we going next?”

“Well, I’ve decided to save the florist for last, so we’re going to that fashion designer that your mother has recommended to me.” Jaejoong replied, his eyes glued to his phone as he scanned their schedule.

“See!” Ara remarked as Yunho reached for another slice of cake, “You’re going to get measured later! Stop eating!”

Yunho rolled his eyes at her playfully, “It’s only my third slice -“

“You’ve had six! You finished mine.” She whined before she looked at Jaejoong pleadingly, “Please, tell him to stop eating. We’ve already decided on everything about the cake.”

“I might find something else more delicious after further inspection.” Yunho replied lightly as he chewed, “Don’t you think Jaejoong?” he asked, “It’s important to try everything, right?”

Jaejoong attempted to stifle his laughter because Yunho was looking at him with an adorable pout on his face, “Well…”

“Yunho, you’re terrible.” Ara said as she wiped a bit of icing off his face, “Stop trying to sway Jaejoong in your favor when he obviously likes me better.”

“You’re just jealous he gave me the bigger slices of cake.”

Jaejoong shook his head in amusement as the couple bantered, and he wrote down the couple’s preferences. As soon as there was a lull in conversation, he noticed that Yunho had begun eating another slice of cake but decided to distract Ara rather than comment on that fact.

“So, you’ve decided on a round cake with five tiers?” he asked, and Ara nodded in approval, so he continued, “The cake will be chocolate devil’s food cake, with vanilla buttercream, and raspberries.”

“Yes.” Ara replied as she elbowed Yunho to stop eating.

Jaejoong chuckled, “As for the design, I’ve already given your preferences from the decoration choices they’ve shown you, and I also took note of the comments both of you made.”

“Do you remember my comment?” Yunho asked with a smile as he set down his fork onto his empty plate.

“The easier to eat, the better.” Jaejoong breathed out softly, the direct attention from Yunho being slightly surprising and distracting.

Once more, Yunho smiled wider, and his eyes crinkled in an adorable manner that reminded Jaejoong of how much his own love life sucked in comparison to his numerous happy clients.

Ara was lucky to have someone like Yunho.

Jaejoong watched as Yunho talked to someone on the phone outside of the flower shop before he was distracted by Ara, who brushed against him as she moved to examine the flowers that were on display.

She smiled up at him, “I think things are going rather well so far?” she asked, “What’s usually the hardest part about planning weddings?”

“Well, it’s usually the guest list.” Jaejoong answered, “Your parents have both given me an estimated number of people which is why I let you guys choose your wedding cake today.”

“Why the guest list?” Ara asked as she plucked a flower stem, “What makes it so difficult?”

“Well firstly, it takes time to figure out addresses and to send the invitations out, and then you have to wait for people to RSVP and confirm that they’re attending. It’s quite a hassle to track, and you need to be accurate about it….”

Jaejoong trailed off and bit his lip.

The wedding was in thirteen days, should he have started on specifying and preparing the wedding invitations first, rather than tackling the easy things first? He cursed his slip in planning inwardly, but Ara snapped him out of his thoughts.

“Is something wrong?” she asked softly with a worried expression on her face.

Jaejoong sighed, “Well…I just realized that your wedding invitations need to be sent out as soon as possible because of how close the date is.” He looked around the florist’s shop, “Do you mind if we choose flowers another day?”

“Of course. I don’t mind at all, as long as it makes things easier for you.” Ara replied as she placed the stem back, “Where do we head next?”

“I have a contact for printing.” Jaejoong replied. He stared at Ara for a few seconds before his curiosity pulled through, “If you don’t mind me asking…” he bit his lip, “Is there a reason why you two want your wedding in two weeks?”

Ara bit her lip and her hands settled over her stomach. She glanced up at Jaejoong and whispered softly, “I’m pregnant.” Her eyes darted to Yunho, who was still on his phone outside, “We thought it would be best to get married before…before I start showing, so that there wouldn’t be a scandal.”

“Oh.” Jaejoong whispered, nearly dropping his blackberry due to the shock that was a result of Ara’s revelation.

He hadn’t expected that at all.

“Please don’t tell anyone.” Ara murmured, her eyes downcast.

Jaejoong nodded, “Of course not.”

The two watched as a little girl bumped into Yunho accidentally and let go of her balloon. Yunho quickly grabbed it before it flew too far upward, and he knelt down to hand it back to the girl, a kind smile on his face.

“He’ll make a great father.” Jaejoong murmured to himself before he turned to Ara and smiled, “So, shall we go to the printing store now?”

Despite his feelings of disappointment, there was still work to do and a wedding to plan.
