But when the morning comes, I'm back where I started again.

This entry is brought to you by severe levels of X-Men flail.

1) Dennis Calero, the man who illustrated X-Men Noir and X-Men Noir: Mark of Cain is going to be at the next Emerald City Comic Con.
I adored both of the runs, and I desperately hope that Marvel does another one soon.
Dennis Calero also happens to be an awesome guy. The first time I went to Emerald City, he was there. I brought along my issue of X-Men Noir that featured Remy on the cover, and he not only signed it, but drew me a picture of Remy on it. I may have swooned but you can't prove anything and how dare you insinuate otherwise you cretins!
He also had some X-Men Noir prints with him (twenty five bucks a pop), and he caught me salivating over them. He just smiled.
"I can give them to you two for forty, if you'd like," he said.
I have wished I took him up on that ever since, seeing as for the next two ECCCs I went to, he was either not there or didn't have the prints.
The really, really good news? He has confirmed on Twitter that he's bringing X-Men Noir prints with him to Emerald City this time around. I kinda freaked out in absolute joy.
I'm gonna get me a Remy one and a Rogue one and a Scott one and it is going to make me poor but I am going to LOVE IT.

2) A question for all my X-Geeks:
I bought myself a couple issues of The New Mutants on the recommendation of a friend, as there were some fantastic Rogue/Remy moments. There were indeed. The art is pretty fantastic too. These issues were part of the Age of X storyline. Have any of you been following that whole thing? The collected Age of X  hardcover has been released, and I'm wondering if it's worth buying or if I should just stick with the issues I have and skip the full thing.

3) I was browsing the Fuck Yeah, Rogue & Gambit tumblr a few days ago, and discovered some intriguing fan art of Remy.
I leaned back in my chair pensively, wondering what exactly it was that I thought about it.
Folks, I give you what I'm pretty sure is hipster!Gambit.
I don't even know, y'all. I really don't.

4) Hey, "Stolen Tarts: Sibling Rivalry"? I know it's been a while, and we haven't really spent a lot of time together. I understand if you were jealous of "Conflict of Interests"; I did give it a lot of attention, and it was kinda at your expense.
But baby? Can we make up? Please?
I'll be good to you. Promise. Just gimmie a chance. We had a good thing going and I'd hate to see it amount to nothing. I just need one more chance, that's all.

writing, the dork is strong with this one, boom-dee-yah-dah, enter the fangirl, question, fandom is fun, can you hear the squee?, list-y goodness, omg lookie here
