I have been making too many not-happy entries of late. Granted, I had some good reasons to be a little upset (like power failure and hard drive problems!) but I miss the old crazy-me entries.

So, uh, back to your irregularly scheduled dose of "wheee!" :D We'll start off with the first thing on my mind.

Well, today turned out reasonably well. I made a carrot cake from scratch, which was a pain because all we had were 'baby' carrots and I had to grate 3 cups worth of carrots. It would have been a wonderful cake, but I accidentally left it in the oven way too long. It didn't burn, but it definitely overcooked. Hard, crusty top and too dry. However, ( Read more... )
