Taking a day off and vedging out
Well, today turned out reasonably well. I made a carrot cake from scratch, which was a pain because all we had were 'baby' carrots and I had to grate 3 cups worth of carrots. It would have been a wonderful cake, but I accidentally left it in the oven way too long. It didn't burn, but it definitely overcooked. Hard, crusty top and too dry. However, my mom bought cinnamon applesauce to go on top, and that worked out well.
I played some video games, but got bored of it after a bit. I beat FFX a few days ago, and even though my sister has FFX-2, I have no desire to play it. I've seen her play some of it, and it just doesn't appeal. Anyway, around noon-ish, I went to the library, checked out a book and season two of a TV series called Monk. I used to watch it with my dad every now and again back when we had cable. I watched a couple episodes of that, then my family and I went to see Cars. Cars was an awesome movie. ^_^ Way better than The Ant Bully, which I watched yesterday. Then I came home and watched another couple episodes of Monk.
So, yeah, I've been vedging out. Been enjoying it, too. Hurray for Saturdays~
