Cafe au lait and beignets this morning, and off to the swamp this afternoon. Maybe Steve will get eaten by an alligator like that doctor in Africa!

It is supposed to be 90 today and the humidity is about 75% - very swampy!

It was fairly crowded here all weekend, but today there are much less people wandering around - we took a tour yesterday to look at the flooded areas. Steve wanted to and I wasn't sure I did... I thought this was fascinating - Steve and I have talked about this concerning music.... and apparently it is true. I guess we are in the minority, and I am glad!

Tomorrow is my birthday. So far we have talked about going to the Oregon State Fair in Salem, going to Mt. St. Helen, going to Art in the Pearl, and going to the beach.... I am consumed with indecision. What I like best is to be presented with something - like a present - and just be whisked away.... but this family doesn't get that, so I will have ( Read more... )
