A few months ago, *someone male* was going around asking people "so, why do we (males) put up with them (girls)?" I gave him my answer, which no-one else I've met appears to agree with, but it got me thinking, so here's my response question.

All right, already:

Why do we (female people) put up with you/them (malepeople)?

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

I am forever plagued by my inablity to write believable male characters. Matt Sleadd was helping me with this, years and years ago, but I still can't seem to get it right; the best I can do is write men from an imperfect-narrator female perspective. Anyone got any useful advice?
