Shorter and curlier today. Hmm, wonder what my hair will look like tomorrow?
Tonight I volunteered with a few others from my church to be a parking lot attendant at a local production of "Beauty and the Beast". This production was unique because the cast was made up of special needs people. Kind of their "one chance to shine." I sat in on about 15 min. of the play and it was surprisingly good (in part, admittedly, because the part of Belle was played by a non-special-needs person. Isn't that cheating?)
Anyway, I've never been a parking lot attendant before, but it was kind of fun! I got to hold one of those light baton thingies and wave it around to direct the cars and say things like "Sorry, this lot is full, but if you drive to the lot down the street, they'd be happy to help you park."
After two hours, my feet and toes were a little numb, since autumn has finally decided to grace Upstate New York with temperatures below 40 degrees. And I was a little pleased with myself that I'd done yet another new thing that I'd never done before. Go me.
