New haircut (and couch!)
For my birthday I decided to treat myself to a real haircut at a real salon. It's something I've never done before but always wanted to do. I got a great recommendation from a friend for a salon on Park Ave, and the stylist was great. She put some long layers in my hair and showed me how to make the curls stay together better. And then, for fun, she took a blow dryer and straightened my hair... also something I've never had done.
It was fun to have straight hair for a day. And I discovered that no matter how much you muss it, it always falls back into place :) (unlike curly hair, which goes all kinky if you even look at it funny). So anyway, I had to have Jason take a picture to commemorate my one day of straight hair, because it will probably never look this way again.
You can also see that I'm sitting on our new couch, with new curtains in the back. I plan to paint the room this weekend (spicy brown for the walls and golden brown for the trim. Very bold.) I loff our new living room.
