One-year aniversary!
With all the going-ons I realized today is the actual one-year aniversary of me being in Seattle! I remember leaving on May 3rd, 2007 and got all the way to Menomonie, WI and staying there the first night. Then I drove thru Minneappolis, MN and thru part of North Dakota, spending my 2nd night in Dickenson, ND. Then on my final day, the most scenic day, I started to see snow-capped mountains and drove thru rolling hills! That final night I stayed in Butte, MT, right next to a mountain! That night I remember going to a nearby movie theater and watching Spider-Man 3....and not liking it very much at the end.
The last day I drove through beautiful northern Idaho past lakes, up and over mountains, and finally into Washington. I crossed over a canyon and river, and drove thru the Cascade mountains. I remember getting close to my destination, driving thru the mountains and it was very foggy and misty that night. But luckily I found my way over to Andrew's and immediately told him and his girlfriend about my long, adventurous drive. I literally saw everything! So many different landscapes on my drive out here. My car was stuffed full too!
But also today I reflected on things. My difficult decision to leave, the drive, and about how things have changed in the past year. I've definately grown up alot in the past year and have reformed. I've changed for the better and become more mellow and open-minded, and careful in my decision-making. Not to mention, of course I also met a certain sigificant other along the way....and I love him very much, :)
So yeah...today was good!
