I’m in the dead heat for the finish of my current WIP, 30K away from the end and only two full weeks left. I’m pushing to wrap this before my sons are out of school and once they are, I plan to take time off with them. This Thursday, I'm thankful for:

• Our upcoming weekend getaway in San Francisco. Kids free!! WHEE!!
• My friend, Kris, for watching the boys during said getaway.
• Our friends, Kate and Saeed, who are flying down from Vancouver to hang out with us in the City.
• Reservations at amazing restaurants and our favorite B&B.
• Memberships at museums.

Spring break is over! Regular life to commence in 3...2...1...

A wonderful time was had by all but I'm dying to get back to my WIP. (Seriously. My characters are constantly gnawing on my brain. That can't be good, right?) I'll be returning to my regular blogging rounds this week, too, with apologies for the semi-radio-silence.

I'm heading for Mendocino County soon, will be out of com range for 10 days. I'm looking foward to cool salty air, long walks on the beach and  the light of the full moon kissing the waves.

It's official. Today is the last day of school. I can't believe how fast this year has flown.
