Suffice to say that life's been insane up to this point. *laughs* Good. Very good, but utterly insane.

I added to the insanity, today, by driving 90 miles each way to Monument, CO, and meeting up with 2metaldog and Tam, the friend she was staying with, AND making it back home in time for a very intense time with my eye doctor about my eye problems.

...and the living is eeeeeasy...

Though completely stuffed full of things to do and people to see and things to make and paintings to sell and consultations to fulfill. And it's good. I've also started The New Rules of Lifting for Women by Lou Schuler that sophiap recommended for me, and it's made for some really amazing workouts ( Read more... )

There are a few places that we always have to go to when we come to the Pacific Northwest. Like when we go to San Diego, there are a few Mecca points that we just have to touch on, as much to remember as to actually buy anything.

Once in a while a new place gets added.

One of those places is now Daniel Smith's Art Supply in Bellevue.

Today was a huge input day. Lots and lots and lots of good input.

I started the morning by reading the first couple dozen issues of Crossing Midnight by Mike Carey, about Japanese twins born on either side of midnight and the spiritual consequences of an offering made by their father. It was haunting and definitely an American writer's ( Read more... )

All five kindergarten classes from Eagle Crest went to the Zoo this morning on two buses. They all wore tie dye. Most of the classes had about twenty kids and about 10 parents or teachers with each class. And the teachers had the cell phone numbers of every parent ( Read more... )
