Am off to give blood tonight. Last try didn't work so well on account of low iron. I'm drinking my water and took an iron pill so here's hoping that they can pump some of that liquid life out of my veins.
According to my internet sources, two, count 'em two, movies with Damian Lewis in them are opening tomorrow: Keane and An Unfinished Life. It doesn't look like either of them is coming close to where I live. Keane sounds great. I was amused by one reviewer who was truly astounded by how well DL escapes into his roles. That is not news to a fangirl. Will definitely see Keane at some point, theater, dvd, whatever. An excerpt taken from a review by The New York Observer's Rex Reed.
"The previously noted Damian Lewis, who plays the heel in An Unfinished Life-proving again there’s no such thing as a small role of no significance when a big actor gives it his own special stamp-is again on view in the odd, disturbing psychological drama, Keane. This intense portrait of a tightly coiled man in crisis coming rapidly unraveled on every level is a bigger showcase for Mr. Lewis’ talent and range, which is vast. A British actor familiar to audiences at the Royal Shakespeare Company who can play Americans with no trace of an accent, Mr. Lewis has what looks like a bright future in American films."
Not so sure about An Unfinished Life. It stars Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman, which is good. It also stars Jennifer Lopez which is bad. He apparently plays the abusive boyfriend from which JLo is trying to escape. Dude, I saw The Forsyte Saga, I don't need to see anything like that again (scarred for life).
Yeah, anyway, not much going on today. Maybe I should go get another bottle of water.
