Am off to give blood tonight. Last try didn't work so well on account of low iron. I'm drinking my water and took an iron pill so here's hoping that they can pump some of that liquid life out of my veins.

According to my internet sources, two, count 'em two, movies with Damian Lewis in them are opening tomorrow: Keane and An Unfinished Life. It ( Read more... )

Damian is definitely good at the "play Americans with no trace of an accent" thing. And a good actor to boot. Also prone to getting very drunk and tall, skinny, slutty-looking blonde chicks from what my roommate saw on his yahoo group.

Wow. An Unfinished Life is like the anti-Winters. That could be interesting...or disturbing.
FORSYTE! Wasn't he....something? After our first viewing my roommate and I spent days shouting "I've BOUGHT it!" at each other in the best Soames-imitations we could muster (the painting Irene liked).

Good luck with the vampires!

Wow, there are so many reasons why I avoid yahoo groups nowadays. *is scared*

For some reason the fact that he does such a great accent makes him even more attractive to me. Not because he can sound like a yank (cause that's mostly boring) but that he's a good enough actor to pull it off. I love accents.

Dude, The Forsyte Saga was scarring. I mean, I was genetically predisposed to appreciate his character but the character was so evil that it gave me conniptions. I liked all of one character in that entire mini-series. Okay, 2, neither of whom were main characters. I have tried to erase the experience from my memory.

*glares at veins* You'd better bleed, dagnabbit.

I understand loving accents. They also make me incredibly jealous/awestruck since I CANNOT do accents at all.

See, I don't see Soames as all evil. It's like his mother says - he loves too much and doesn't know how to handle it. He's not good, but he's not all bad. It's like he doesn't quite understand the world or how to work in it. He tries, but it just doesn't work. Personally, I hated Irene. She seemed determined to keep herself as miserable as possible and ruin as many other people's lives as she could.
I'm sorry you're trying to erase it!

*giggles at you yelling at your veins*

He apparently plays the abusive boyfriend

Yeah, but he plays a HOT abusive boyfriend who, from what I saw in the trailer last night, wears a really tight gray t-shirt and gets rained on at least once.

I'm just sayin'.

See? I should work for Hollywood, we all have the same ideas re: rain and abusive boyfriends and semi-Latina women on farms.

Good luck with the blood donation. :)

I tried to give blood while I was at Dragon*Con, but it turns out that because I was in England for six months in 1992, I'm ineligible for giving blood. Go figure.
