Am feeling generally magnanimous towards the world today. Strange, but true. The sun is out and the morning's fic trawl has been satisfactory. There have been no huge, sucking emergencies and while the Pup did puke last night he doesn't seem sick and he had the good sense to at the very least not puke on my bed and, really, what more can a pet-mommy ask for?

I do feel like I could sleep for a week, but that is neither here nor there (omg circles under my eyes).

CBS has had its upfronts and nothing for the new fall season looks all that interesting, which is a common problem I have with CBS, except they picked up a new show called Jericho and that is freaking awesome. You all remember when Lost started and I was all "OMG even without Dom I would still be SO EXCITED because they're STRANDED on a DESERTED ISLAND!!!" and I was pretty much crazy over the whole thing? Well, Jericho is shamelessly playing on one of my other fool-proof storytelling kinks because it's about a town and how it reacts to the nuclear apocalypse. OMG that is SO FREAKING SWEET!!!! The premise reminds me of Alas, Babylon which is still one of my favorite nuclear apocalypse books ever and omg I'm shaking from excitement. Plus CBS, in some inspired fit of scheduling genius, placed it in the 8PM Wednesday time slot, making it the perfect lead in for Lost

ooooo, and Jonny Lee Miller is going to be in some horrible sounding drama with lots of other good actors. I love him.

I need to get out today and go for a walk in the sun. It's not like I'm actually busy at work, or anything like that. It's a shame I didn't bring my fic notebook, there are story bits that I've been putting off and putting off and a day like today is perfect for taking another crack at them.

If there's a topic that any of you have been dying to discuss feel free to start talking about it in the comments. My brain is kinda scattered but I'm feeling especially chatty today. =D

tv is my crack, blather, puply experiences
