You can press the Escape key to stop moving/flashing/blinking icons from moving/flashing/blinking. Also works on smilies on forums and other stuff like that.

I just learned that F11 makes your window open to full screen mode, and pressing it again toggles back to normal view. Handy. Now I need a mnemonic so I can actually remember it.
