Just finished... finally. It was AMAZING.

I read this because I REALLY REALLY loved the movie, and because I had to read a science fiction title for class this week. Now this particular book actually won the World Fantasy Award in 1996, but was also a nominee for the Arthur C. Clarke award that same year. Lord of the Isles by David Drake.
I picked up this book because NoveList suggested it as a readalike for Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time. I've read not quite halfway through this book.
