I have finally realised what has been bugging me about my figure drawings for so long. I can't fore-shorten. At all. Not even for jellybeans, or peanuts (not together). After a horrific chemistry exam and a nice art one the HSC AND ALL RELATED ASPECTS OF SCHOOL ARE DONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! It's a very nice feeling XD. I just sold my first piece of art ... it was a quick watercolour and pencl sketch of a tiger head and part of it's body to my youngest brother for a price of $3 XD It was a commission too ;).

I think I'm suffering from an art withdrawal. Studying is driving me insane!! Although excuses to watch the BBC's Pride and Prejudice and Oliver Parker's The Importance of Being Earnest is excellent!!!! So in light of this extraordinary discovery (o_O) here are some pictures!! This is my 2m wide x 1.45m tall body of work laid out on my loungeroom floor. The bear looks a bit lighter than the others cause it's next to a giant big window, and then there are individual pictures of each.

I am so happy the trials are over!!! I got my first result back today, for chemistry, and I DID NOT FAIL!! For which I am very thankful!! I haven't been giving chemisty nearly as much attention as I should....hence why I'm worried about failing it. Which is bad, cause I'm not a bad student - I came first in the course last year, I've just been lazy ( Read more... )
