Well, this morning I awoke to discover Lola had "passed on." After seeing how bad she was getting, it actually came as a relief. I'm glad I got to spend the last 2.5 years with her in my life and I know lots of people have great Lola stories to tell because of her. So, now comes the time to pack up the hamster stuff for a while and actually live allergy-free (until winter when the cat takes over my room).
I'm pretty tired and today was pathetically unproductive. I made up an extensive powerpoint for this weeks lab and read a few articles while my mom got her nails done. Then I went in to count cells for my cell bio lab this afternoon. Lab is incredibly fun (pathetic but true)! The guys are great fun and there's maybe only one other girl and she doesn't talk. We joke around alot and I spend countless hours hanging out with Dan inside a hood (think tiny desk covered in an aquarium tank). We chat about everything and anything and it's very very chill. We are even talking about driving up to NYC together (with some other guys) sometime soon. I would be very excited to get to catch up with people in NY and there are quite a few now! I totally forgot that people might be up for carpooling places like that, I'll have to suggest a Boston trip.
Well, hopefully tomorrow will be a bit more productive. I only have a few key things to accomplish but they seem to be presenting more difficulty to me than they should. I think it's just the getting started part that's the problem.
I hope everyone is holding up against Tropical Storm Hannah. It's been "All Weather Channel, All the Time" here. Luckily we got the direct eye of the storm so it wasn't as horrible as what tore through our neighboring towns. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
