Sora (lockandkeyblade)
One of Riku's two best friends and crushes, Sora is one of the two individuals most important to him. Though the two are the greatest of rivals, they always are willing to tag team almost constantly in the face of the most dangerous of times even with their opposing elemental strengths. With Riku's Darkness and Sora's Light they seemed nigh unstoppable, until Halloween Night when that thought process was shaken once again.
They both are unsure of what the cause was, but now with what has happened to Riku due to events they cannot recall,he found him and Danny half-dead (ha-ha) and dragged him home; darkness reawakened. What could have happened to them?
In an effort to combat the growing threats from both external forces and within, Sora agreed to help Riku hone his light-based skills. It worked, but Riku remembered that his strength came from both sides and thus he accepted both once again in equal shares.
But now...it no longer mattered since Sora was no longer here.
"I've known Sora since before I can even remember; he's one of the few I know I can trust to watch my back--no mater how many times I've stabbed him in the back. It's more than I want to admit... how much pain I've caused him during my time in the Darkness - yet he always pulls me back when I'm close to slipping in again. He and Kairi were the two keeping me relatively sane in this underwater city. But now that he's gone..."

Kairi (fullofheart)
Riku's best friend, other love interest, and the completing part of the Destiny Trio. Alongside Sora, Kairi's one of the most important people in Riku's life. Her well-being and happiness always came first to him, even if it meant slipping a little to protect her. It's only in his nature to want to protect - a nature strengthened by the knowledge that she's the seventh Princess of Heart alongside their friendship.
Kairi was the reason he fell in the first place; to find her heart when it was once lost- and later became his guiding light when he was crawling in the darkness alone. Her light is what sustains his heart and keeps it from being eclipsed again.
When she returned to Vatheon she had no prior memories to her first time there, but he never held it against her. Still, he kept his mouth shut on a lot of things and in doing so pushed her away again, so she wouldn't get hurt. He admitted to loving both her and Sora the same, but soon after the city itself began to tear apart this small shred of hope. He's clung to her light ever since the rest was taken away from him.
"Kairi's one of my best friends and, whether Sora will admit it or not, the cause for some of our roughhousing when we were younger since we both liked her more than as just a friend. I'd do anything to protect her, even sacrifice myself.
I just wish that I could stay longer... to protect her from what's to come."

Roxas (briefandbright)
Sora's other half and Xion's best friend for life, created when Sora stabbed himself with a Keyblade of Heart. Roxas was the key to awakening Sora from his year of sleep that DiZ had Riku kidnap from the Organization long ago, but more than likely Roxas only recalls him as "the Imposter" from the days he helped Xion escape from the Organization's clutches.
He doesn't know much else about this strange Nobody other than he can experience true emotions and has a horrid temper...
"I never really got to speak to him outside of the kidnapping and watching over him in the Data Twilight Town, but when he remembers... Well, I guess it doesn't matter, now."

Naminé (colorme_in)
A young, special Nobody who was once in the care of the Organization then DiZ and is was previously protected by Alucard the Impaler. Riku knows her another person first, Kairi's 'other' after and makes every attempt to treat her as such. He once watched as she tried to reconnect Sora's memories to no avail before he convinced Xion to return where she belonged.
Riku trusted Naminé's judgment in regards to Alucard's guardianship but fears that, once again, she could be stolen away in the night by a certain sadist... which is why he took her in briefly when the vampire returned home.
"I'd like to consider her a friend, but it's hard to trust my judgment when she's so close to Kairi. My only regret is not being able to get to know her better before it was time for me to go home."

Terra (bondingearth)
Keyblade hero of the past and the one who passed on the power of the Keyblade to Riku, Terra is his successor in more ways than one. Darkness-wielding, their ties to Xehanort, and the many mistakes they've made while traversing the worlds are just brief summaries of the similar paths they've taken.
Pulled to Vatheon before his final confrontation with Master Xehanort, Terra has become both Riku's teacher and father figure...even though he is much more naive than Riku is.
"I could sense the all-too familiar Darkness in his heart now that I have the ability, but there's a light in him that was lacking in the Xehanort he resembles from my time. ...I'm praying that my hunch is wrong about him being half of the Heartless who had once possessed my body."

Aqua (keystorm)
Keyblade hero from the past and the prececessor to Kairi, Aqua is the last known true Keyblade Master who has not gone into retirement. She had long ago asked Sora to keep Riku on the straight and narrow before going off to the final confrontation.
But here in Vatheon, he'd certainly made a mess of things.
"I messed up... Wish I could apopgize to her, from keeping her friend away from her, but it's too late. Maybe if I remember...I could apologize when Sora and I find her again."

Keyblade hero of the past and Sora's predecessor (though both are unaware of this), Ventus is half of the key for a weapon of mass destruction and devoid of Darkness.
He holds some sort of tie to Sora and Roxas, that much is certain.
"...His appearance leads me to believe he's connected to Sora somehow. I'm going to try and find out just exactly what said connection is."

One of Sora's friends that he met on his journey to find Kairi. The creepy similarities between him and Riku have been noted quite often in the discussions the two have held over the course of time. Funny, how that goes isn't it?
"Cloud's one of the few people who seems to understand exactly the dangers I face if I can't control the Darkness within me. Maybe one day we'll be able to discuss the issues at hand without the masks, but does it really need to be said? I just... don't know."

Vanitas (probation_you)
The other half to Ventus and pure Darkness/negativity incarnate. Riku briefly encountered him on his first day in Vatheon and stood between he and Kairi. Since then, Vanitas seems to be targeting Ventus and whomever is close to the blond boy.
But... he ended up helping Riku. First by teaching him how to wield his darkness without it eating away at his heart or judgment, then healing him when he'd gotten into such bad shape after the incident with Enjin. This led to his involvement in what would only be known as a Nightmare later on, and the beginnings of his downfall.
"Now that I look back, I was a fool for getting so close to his darkness. But, that doesn't mean I'm not grateful to him for what he'd done. I couldn't trust him, but I will acknowledge that I owed him for saving my neck a few times."

One of the six senior members of Organization XIII and one of Xehanort's lackeys. He'd once followed his former possessor, but it's not like he knows that, does he~?
Still, he'd rather not get sniped in the back.

Demyx (ninthserenade)
The ninth member of Organization XIII and one of the few Riku seems to get along with well enough to hold a discussion without a Keyblade meeting their face. Their first meeting was rather awkward, but they seemed to hit it off the day after Halloween. It probably helped Demyx slightly that Riku appears to like music as well.
They'd created a sort of friendship over time, and Riku was glad he got to meet this particular guy.
"Oddly enough, we seem to cooperate with each other pretty well. Though, it's a bit awkward since Sora killed him. Regardless, I'm glad I got to talk with him. Too bad that we won't be able to sing together again..."

Larxene (savage_nymph_12)
Twelfth member of the Organization and the only female Nobody to speak of in that group, Larxene is a cause of annoyance for Riku. First approaching him at his arrival, they exchanged a few words and attempted to troll each other. It was almost funny how that backfired in both their faces.
When she kidnapped Naminé, Riku set out to find her and put an end to this madness. He led the others right to the Savage Nymph and got to witness Alucard impaling her in the chest with a black spike before consoling a terrified Sora. 'Good riddance.'
"A callous and sadistic woman that I could honestly care less for. Too bad she's returned from the dead...."

No. i Xion (innocency)
A Replica created from Sora's stolen memories by Vexen and the Organization as well as Roxas's and Axel's best friends. She was the key to awakening Sora until she died at the hands of her friend and memories of her existence began fading away. However, she doesn't recall this far and thus with her appearance in Vatheon memories of her are starting to return to Riku.
He may have at first seen her as a freak without a face upon their meeting, but ever slowly he's come to see the girl she truly is - fake or not. Perhaps it is Fake's influence on him that made him begin to see Replicas as real people after his demise; one cannot say for certain. Regardless, Xion's like a little sister to him. Funny, since she's technically the Riku Replica's older sibling.
"I'm slowly starting to remember her, thanks to this memory seal cracking under the pressure of my two elements. She seems to truly care about her friends' well being as well as my own. Maybe I'll remember why there's that sadness in her eyes..."

The cause for Riku's darkness returning with a vengeance.
On Halloween night, while Riku was missing crucial memories, he attacked Sora and Danny Fenton, almost killing them by the time Riku arrived. After exchanging a few blows, he was incapacitated by both additional memory manipulation and the strength if his own darkness.
However, the seal was eventually broken, and after recalling he traded several blows with the doctor. To threaten his friends like that...
"I hate him. Not as much as Xehanort, but forcing my darkness back out...hurting my friends... I'll never forgive him for that."

Adrian Farenheights Tepes (bequeathal)
Half human, half vampire, Adrian is more or less one of the few people who also knows what it is like to be an "unholy" mixture of two elements that should never crossbreed- at least according to most societies. Perhaps in time a camaraderie could be formed between he an Riku. ...He also seems to enjoy the occasional petting whilst in his baby bat form. Riku won't admit it, but that form is rather cute.
"One of the few who understood what it's like to be half of something abhorring. There's a strange connection between us that I do not comprehend fully, but maybe in time... Guess it's too late for that, now."

Vlad the Impaler, Dracula, the Nosferatu, No Life King... all of which are but a mere few of the nicknames Alucard has obtained over his centuries of existence.
He seemed to care a great deal for Riku's friend, Naminé, but he's rather uncertain about his mental stability.
"He seemed alright, but what worried me is his tendency to lose his cool when something or someone is taken from him. Then again, I'm the same way..."

Riku's "Emo Bro" and one of the few he considers a friend that isn't from his cluster of worlds. They got off to a shaky start when Riku first arrived, but slowly a sort of mutual agreement was started between the two. Neku may not consider him a friend yet, but you can bet that Riku would come running if shit were about to hit the fan.
"I'm an emo kid, nonconforming as can- Oh, right. Neku. Um... He seemed to have a few issues has he hadn't quite worked through just yet, but was slowly on the way to doing so. ...Too bad we didn't get to know each other well enough, otherwise."

Yoshiya "Joshua" Kiryu (oh_neku_dear)
The Composer of Shibuya and a god in his own right. Joshua...has a few creepy similarities with Riku that he couldn't help but notice them when they first notice. However, they seem to be getting along rather well regardless. It's even gotten to the point that they're conspiring to take a pair of scissors to a mutual 'friend's' hair.
...Two boys in serious are need of a trim. Huzzah!
"I found him to be a bit of a nuisance at first, but you have to admit it's rather fun to play a round of Xanatos Speed Chess with him. Hm... Maybe we'll do something together after taking the clippers to Neku's hair. Though I wonder... how did he find out about my keen sense of smell?"
