Well...if categorized Pluto as a planet, then we'd have about a dozen more planets we'd have to add to the solar system because there's several more further out that are Pluto's size. That...and we'd have to make our grammar school kids memorize them all...

Evil Scientists . . .

Funny thingis, I get out of work, I flip on WGN radio and John Williams (the host) was bitching about it just like I was. And a lot of people were following suit. And I quote, "I live in the United States, and if I still want to consider Pluto one of the Nine planets, you can't stop me."

He truly should be king.

What does this mean for me. Shouls I tell the kids that Pluto is no longer a planet or continue with the lie. How can we take planet away from pluto?

Now it, along with 11 other similiar objects are being called "Dwarf planets". Is that even PC?

Who the fuck are these scientists to say that something that was classified as a planet over 75 years ago can no longer be classified as one? Every single one of the bastards involved in that decision should be slowly drawn and quartered.

Of course, that's just my opinion.

I'm sure others would say they should be disemboweled or given the rack, the iron maiden, etc . . .

Okay... how exactly do you think this problem should be solved?

Nuke all the scientists from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. ;)

This is worse than when some stuffy scientist said that I descended from monkeys!

doomsey August 25 2006, 01:50:40 UTC
clearly those scientists had no idea what they're talking about.

Well, technically speaking, we are not descended from monkeys.... proto-monkey's might be better, but best would be primate ancestors. Monkeys are almost as modern as we are. Before they became monkeys, they were some other primate.

=P Sorry!

Who needs 'em? Just cause they invented things like vaccines, and pasturization, they think they're so great . . . ;)
