It began in January, when I was housesitting for a couple of friends. During an evening work event, I started to itch under my clothes. By the time I got home and into the shower, my whole torso was completely broken out in hives. The next day I was fine, so I forgot about it.

Today is injection training and first shot day. The dosage ramps up, so hopefully, side effects will be minimal after today's shot. I have kind of been obsessing about all this, so I am glad to be getting it over with. Last week was pretty crazy. Monday was the filing date for our opening brief in a kind-of-big case, so I went in to the office on Sunday at noon and didn't make it back out until noon on Monday. New lesion(s). In my brain. Less than three of them. They were there on my December MRI results, but I just found out about them today. I don't feel like doing all the exposition right now, but the bottom line is that the study protocol for the drug study I am in says that I have to be offered MS therapy now. I have emailed and/or spoken to a lot of close friends today, but I have not mentioned the fact that I woke up this morning and the room was spinning as if I was drunk. I'm at the MS center for my final regular appointment. I've been coming here for a year already, which is crazy. After today, I stop taking my study drugs and start doing nothing. I'm going to have to come back for MRIs and stuff over the next six months to a year, but this is really basically it. I don't think I have any feelings about it one way ( Read more... )
