I Haven't Posted Much Here...
But, I sure do post a lot of crap in facebook... but I'll throw some stuff in here.
So, I've semi-moved into the "Hated House". Tis where four members of the band "The Hated" live. They have become my nurses, they take good care of me. I'll be recovering from this freakin' brain surgery mess until December and I am in hell. I really thought I knew the full pain of Trigeminal Neuralgia...well now I do. All three branches of the nerve are spazzing out constantly because of the trauma. It's agony, but I'm trying to stay as distracted as possible and do as much as my body will let me. I am so frustrated, I can't remember the last time I have cried so often from pain and/or frustration. I spoke with Vince recently, he is a bass player that I have known for about 20 years. He told me he is in a band with a singer (Rich) who has TN in the area. So I befriended Rich on facebook; this may be the first person I ever meet face to face with TN.... WoW. Which reminds me that I have to call Carolyn in NC right after I write this and check on her, she has TN and Anesthesia Dolorosa and she needs checking in on.
Also, I'm having surgery yet again on October 1st. I'm having cryosurgery on the maxillary region of my trigeminal nerve. Dr. Quinn is doing the surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He operated on me in 2004. The could have missed some pain fibers during the last brain surgery, but at the least this should help me with getting through the recovery period, it's just too damn painful. Let's all celebrate the 10th surgery all performed above my neck! Crazy!
