I don't much mind the airport when it's just waking up, before all the gate announcements and surly travelers. Still, this morning as I looked out into the darkness as my plane pulled up to the gate, I felt a little anxious, apprehensive of the trip. I walked down to Times Square this afternoon in the rain. Lots of fun people watching, and (of course) the Naked Cowboy was doing his thing, even in the rain.

I'm on a business trip this week, one that took me to Massachusetts for two days and now brings me to New York. It's been a long time since I've been here, and I have to admit that I've been missing New York, it's energy and style. The noise, the "New Yorkness" of it all.
