Some songs stick with you and twist you up in ways you can't completely explain. "Throw Yours Arms Around Me" is one of those songs for me. Neil Finn once commented that it became a classic without ever becoming a hit. I was 22 years old when I bought it on vinyl. Well, Somehow I managed to lose my iPod at Paradise, so I'm temporarily without mobile tunes. I've already ardered up a new 8G Nano (in black since the new shade of green is pukey).

That's the lows.

The highs will more than make up for it tomorrow night when daddysir and I go to see Richard Thompson. Here's a little taste of the good stuff:

And before anyone gets any smart ideas about harping on how old I am and how crappy the music was way back when the dinosaurs walked the earth, I do want to point out that most of the music I was listening to when I turned 18 wasn't found on Top 40 or even most AOR radio stations.
