Went back to the SRC today to check on my status since they never called me back.  They checked and said that I wasn't on TAMP anymore.  Good, so I drove back to the Tricare Service Center.  I gave my ID card, they looked me up, and promptly told me that I wasn't on Tricare Prime or Standard anymore.  If I wanted to get on Tricare, I would have to ( Read more... )

Yesterday I took the Darnall hospital shuttle down to BAMC for my follow up appointment with my doctor.  It's a 2 1/2 hour ride in which we go through Austin and down on to San Antonio.  Austin looks pretty cool; we still haven't found the time to go check it out, but maybe  one of these weekends we will.

Well, the surgery was a success, they took out the tumor and my right ovary and did some cleaning up in my uterus.  The tumor had attached itself to the uterine wall, so taking it out required some work.  I also had a small UTI that they treated as well.

So now I'm home and I'm pretty sore right now, but I have enough drugs to keep me happy and ( Read more... )

Meh, I have this stuff I have to take this afternoon called Golytely...  because well, I have to 'go lightly' and be totally 'gone' by tomorrow morning!  Yeah, it's pretty messed up, but oh well.  On top of that, no eating anything for me after 1600.  So I'd better go eat something else besides last night's sesame chicken with broccoli and rice.
