First coat of color paint in Zarah's main room are done. The closet space still needs some dry wall mud to be done. Five beautiful healthy 2 week old kittens. This group is high contrast; black & white, a calico, an all black, and one gray. Momma Alice disappeared all evening and night last night. We were afraid we'd have orphan kitties to take care of but she came back early this morning. May not let her out again ( Read more... )

Zarah bought 6 snap dragons about a week ago. They are pretty much her favorite flower. She makes them open and close their jaws and talks about how fairies live inside them. It had been too windy to plant them, but the weather has improved dramatically in the last three days ( Read more... )

The weather was not good yesterday and it kept a lot of people away from the art opening unfortunately. Despite the bad weather a number of friends did turn out, we had a lovely afternoon socializing and Zarah sold four drawings yesterday ( Read more... )

Planted 1/2 bed of carrots on Saturday. Removed some more walls of water from water melons and gourds, and the new garden bed designated for bush beans this year is ready to plant in as of lunch time today. Will wait for the moon to come 'round to a more favorable sign (wed or thur I believe) to plant the beans. J transplatned his many peppers ( Read more... )
