If you're lucky enough to get HBO it's well (very well) worth the looksee. I thought I was done with gangster films - kaput I thought I'd never see a new take on the old story. Bad boys at play. But this period piece is true to its time and delves deeply into the characters so that you feel a part of their world. They're *interesting* characters ( Read more... )

Yeah, so everyone else saw it in the theatres...but I never seemed to get it together to do so. Loved Johnny Depp of course and loved the fact that it was an "older" Alice who made it to "underworld." That made it more interesting in my eyes than some young girl being yanked around.
