I quite enjoyed it - but I didn't read The Hobbit or LOTR as a child, and I know the movie pissed off the people I went to see it with. And even I am cross about the 'three movie' nonsense - come on, guys!

I have to say I liked it. But then my expectations were low. I liked The Lord of the Rings (books and movies) but never really cared for The Hobbit (the book), so I was pleasantly surprised that the Hobbit movie was more like the LOTR movies than the Hobbit book.
