This evening, my daughter took an unexpected trip to Egypt. Okay, unexpected downside of sending the Bit to tap/ballet classes. She has a new game: Dance Class. She plays the teacher; touchstone and I are the students. This means that at age 35, I'm trying to get into positions that I couldn't get into at age six.

My knees don't go that way. Honest.

D has wrapped herself up in a towel and is hiding.

tLD: I'm Mischief Girl! You can't see me!
Touchstone: She's...discovered her secret superhero identity. And isn't it just our luck that it would be THAT.

Mischief Girl's secret weakness appears to be tickling. She is helpless in the face of it.

It's now a race. Will Christmas arrive before tLD's head explodes from anticipation or before her parents break down and run off to Timbuktu?

I am going to track down the son of a bitch who said that the Terrible Twos were bad and Threes were good. When I find him, I am going to lock him in a small room with my daughter, and when he come crawling out whimpering for mercy, I will point and laugh.

We blew off almost all responsibility this past weekend. The one passing nod was a few hours spent blowing up balloons for the Bit and the Kit's School Fall Festival in which we dutifully ticked off all but one of our "suggested" volunteer hours.
