This evening, my daughter took an unexpected trip to Egypt. In return, we were hosts to Princess Amelia of Egypt who wore a lovely pink dress of stars (a blanket) and an exquisite crown (pink construction paper) that she had inherited from her mother -- which is why it was a bit too large. I am pleased to report that her Highness was a charming and delightful dinner companion with exquisite manners. She spoke charmingly of her parents, the King and Queen of Egypt, their river, and the lovely pyramids that they owned.
We expressed hope that her parents would take a moment to instill in our daughter the lovely manners displayed by the Princess herself.
I am assured that our daughter will be returning soon -- before bedtime -- but that Princess Amelia may visit us again.
