"Let's have a joyous celebration!"
Well, it's official. Today marks the last week of the 2009 MOUCP. It's hard to believe that so much time has gone by so fast. I have mixed emotions. Mainly, I'm still in love with MOUCP. Yes, it's a little mundane to do the same thing every single day, but that's life for you...and I have to do the same thing every single day, that's not a bad way to spend it. However, I do miss getting to share meet and greets with my friends.
So, I got my new schedule for the week after MOUCP. And here I thought with the new CPs coming in that I wasn't going to get any hours. Um...45.5. They gave me overtime, handed it over. One shift is 11 hours, plus overtime at the end of the week. I'm a little flabbergasted. I can't decide if I should try to give away a shift or two, though I'd have to give away over half of my week to get down to less than 24. I'm getting very nervous about capping because two of my close friends (one PT, one seasonal) both just got capped this week. Granted, they're both show trained and don't work with me, but still. It's enough to make one nervous.
Now, on the plus side of this new schedule, we have a wonderful announcement...the long awaited return of Goofy's Liberate Your Appetite at Liberty Tree! That's right...Liberty Tree is coming back, folks!! Crystal Palace is going under routine maintenance for a few months, so Liberty Tree has been brought back to continue to offer character dining to our guests. Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale will be at meals all day long. The old Liberty Tree was just a character dinner, but since Crystal Palace was all day, the new Lib Tree is all day, too. I'm so excited that it's back...and it's a little job security for a bit because my help is needed much more at Lib Tree than it was at Crystal Palace.
And the best news? I'm there its first week back!! My friend Larkin gets to open it. Wish I was that lucky. But I've got a spare there midweek, so maybe they'll send me back. I also get to go back to the boat dock, pop the popcorn at Play and Dine (LOVE!), and spare up at Studios. My first day after MOUCP is back at Studios. How fitting! I miss Studios so much and can't wait to get back. I hope I get to see June...I miss her so much!
On a sadder note, I found out today that Prince Caspian's last day is January 9th. There have been rumors around management that he might end up staying longer, but right now everyone is planning for him to leave on the 9th.
And two days before that...Josh is heading to South Dakota. He has an overnight on the night of the 6th and is planning to drive to SD as soon as he's done. Less than two weeks. I'm trying very hard not to think about it. He finally opened my Christmas presents today and I was full of mixed emotions. I was thrilled that he enjoyed them, but it was bittersweet because they're practically "so long" gifts. I'm still trying to pull a miracle for his birthday. I hope Terence has some extra pixie dust for me because this will take lots of magic.
Well, I have to head to bed. I was almost about to go to bed at 8:30 and now it's almost 2. And I have to be up in less than 7 hours. Why can't I get to bed at a decent hour? (Oh, right...to say hi to Josh after Spectro finally turns him loose for the evening...lol)
