"It's a big blue world out there that can make a fish feel small..."

As per usual, I am way behind.  Please forgive me.  (Also, random thought: this is about the only writing I do anymore.  I miss writing a lot.  I've been looking for inspiration to write more poetry and I'm not making much progress.  But this is nice.)

Well...where to begin?

On Friday, Dale got to hang out at Spaceship Earth for a photo shoot.  He and Chip had a lot of fun running around with the kids while the photographer took pictures.  The pictures are being saved for stock footage.  If I ever see it on a magazine, you better believe I'll find a copy for Dale.

And speaking of DCE's and the munks, DCE called me again today.  On Thursday, I get to hang out at the Yacht and Beach Club with Chip for some "Travelers In Sync" thing.  No clue what it's for, but Chip gets to wear his beach wear, which he is awfully excited about.

On a more professional note, this past Friday I went with Margaret and Josh to our new apartment complex to give them our deposit and applications.  We should know by tomorrow or Wednesday if we got accepted.  Once we do, I will get word to everyone of my new mailing address.  The apartment is really nice.  It's a 3 bedroom/2 bath with a washer and dryer included.  The price isn't terrible...about $365 a month before utilities  All we need now is some furniture.  lol  I'm still a little nervous about being able to afford all of this, but I want to try my hardest to do it by myself.  I know I can do it...it's just going to take some control.  My program ends on May 15th and we'd start moving in on May 11th.  Wish us luck!!

Speaking of the apartment, Jenna (one of my current roommates) is extending her college program, but doesn't want to stay in college housing anymore.  She just got the okay from price management that she can live with us, assuming we get accepted.  That means our rent will be slightly cheaper through August and we'll have another person around.  :)

Workshops have been flying around the corner lately.  I had one last week where I got to spend lots of time with the chipmunks.  Tomorrow night, Josh and I are going to "Intro to Disney Choreography," which I'm hoping will help me.  Next month, there's a "Partner Dancing" workshop that I am beyond excited for.  I decided that once I finalize my apartment and make sure I can afford everything each month, I'm going to set aside money each week to go to jazz classes.

Bolt and friends are leaving next week and will be replaced by the characters from "Up."  We will get to see the boy scout, his dog, and the old man.  Also, two of the characters from Club Penguin have been seen backstage at the Studios.  They're almost ready to meet their fans.

Speaking of the Studios, they're having a 20th anniversary party this week and a sale, too.  I'm really excited for both!  And spring formal is on Wednesday.  The theme is "Going Hollywood."  I hope Mickey is there in his Hollywood garb.  I'm looking forward to the formal.  Last program's formal was the coolest thing.

Oh, and great news!  I had been e-mailing the man in charge of Star Wars weekends about getting involved somehow.  He sent my e-mail to talent casting, who e-mailed me back.  The positions have all been filled already, but they said that they will keep me in mind for supplementary casting.  I am particularly excited for Josh, Ben, Kyle, Peter, Erik, and Harrison, who all got positions.  It's going to be so much fun!

And, before I leave for the night, a bedtime story from Leo.

Leo was out by himself this afternoon when a little girl named Aubrey came into his line.  She was about 2 or so and very excited to see Leo.  Her mom and grandparents were encouraging her to "pat-pat-pat" while she was in line.  When she approcahed Leo, she noticed that he was a lot taller in person than on TV and got a little scared.  Leo got down to her level on one knee to try and make her feel more comfortable.  It was a nice improvement.  Going for broke, Leo sat down on his bottom and stretched his legs out in front of him, patting slightly on his lap to indicate that Aubrey should sit there.  Mom lifted Aubrey onto Leo's lap and she started beaming.  She was so happy.  Leo took Aubrey's hands and helped her "pat-pat-pat" and "Blast off!"  She then cuddled into Leo and lay there for a good three minutes or so.  It was heaven and Leo loved it.

Well, I have an awful lot of beauty sleep to catch up on, so I will talk to you all soon.

Thanks for being patient with my entries.

Love,
Nikki
