This has been a very chaotic week over here!! Six straight days of work, including three with my kitty, two with my silly ol' bear, and one with my one-eyed wonder. It was fun, stressful, and exhausting. Kitty and I did not have a good Monday. (If you care to hear more details, feel free to call and I'll fill you in.)
The nice thing is that I finally had my day off...and I enjoyed it in regal splendor. I slept in and drove Clarabelle to work. I came back and took my time getting ready before meeting Ben and his family at DAK. We rode Everest, the Safari, Bug's Life, and saw FOLK. Ben and I had a leisurely lunch at McDonald's and ran errands at MK. I got my grad ears embroidered (pics to come), got an ornament for my cousin, and bought two coffee mugs on sale. (I'm still looking for the Peter Pan one to match.) When Ben's family arrived, we rode the Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, and Philharmagic. I stopped at Liberty Tree to see Paul and then took off for my gingerbread house hunt. I got to see the Grand Floridian all decorated for Christmas. I seriously just wanted to sit downstairs for an hour or so and stare at the hotel. It looked like a very classy, upscale Hallmark. (Or, for you Ohio people, like Gale's.) The pictures are coming soon!
The next few days are sure to be entertaining. (No pun intended.) I get to spend one more day with the kitty tomorrow, followed by some town square mayhem with the cutest chipmunks in the world. I'm excited for all of the time I get to spend with them. Early mornings, but well worth it...possibility of morning show and roaming free. I can't wait. (Now, if only they didn't start at 6:30am.)
I started my scrapbook tonight. Rob, Clara, Nicole, and Jackie each picked out their pages and started signing things to put on their page. I need to set aside time to put all of the pictures I want to use in a separate file. I think the book is going to be really cool and I'm so excited to work on it. Nicole is bringing me some pixie dust for her page.
Also, I am working on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. (No surprise.) The nice thing is that I'm working late on Christmas Day, so I can watch the parade on TV. (Yay!) I'm spending Christmas Eve with my munks in Town Square and Pooh Bear and I will have a very splendid holiday at the palace together. I'm actually very excited for these shifts.
Oh, and I have to move out of my apartment on the 2nd as well. It's going to be a crazy morning. More on this story as it develops.
Tonight, my roomies and I sat down to talk about Christmas. We decided that we're going to swap our presents on Christmas Eve after we pick up Clara from work. We're going to have a movie marathon including (but not limited to) White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street (old version), It's a Wonderful Life, & The Santa Clause. The girls all want to get egg nogg, so I'll probably enjoy some hot chocolate. We're talking about having a sleepover in the common room that night. Then on Christmas morning, we're all going to wake up super early to drive Jackie to work and we're going to stop at Starbucks beforehand. I'm really excited for this. It's going to be a great holiday.
Well, I need to catch my 40 winks. The morning comes early in Florida.
Happiest ever afters,
Nikki
