Prop Repair

I started fixing the electric chair last night.
It is taking longer that I thought it would.
1 - the drill I am using for the pilot hols is about 2 inches too short
2 - Getting the various pieces of wood to fit snugly is problematic.

If I had used glue and better screws originally this would not be as much of a problem.
I need to keep this in mind for the rest. (Actually I am thinking about taking the electric chair apart, gluing it, then bolting it back together.....)
Gian suggested I use a joiner tool and tenons to put the new ones together.
A good idea actually. I need to think about that.

For the ones I am going to decorate (bone) it won't mater because I will be covering a lot of it over. But for the pain mortal and the mage it would be nice. Though I would be tempted to use a nicer wood.

I am uncertain how many I will have ready by game Friday. But I will be happy with 2 basic chairs. With the eventual goal of 6 total.

I am not having much luck finding insulators for the electric chair top. I wanted to get some big ceramic stand offs for that nice mad science feel. I found some rubber door guards that have about the right look when you stack them up.

I have been sourcing switches and such for a control panel. I would like to get it wired up with some strobes, fog and such for the Halloween party.
Because if I put a big red shinny button on the electric chair, someone will have to push it ;) "BIZZZZZZZZZAT!"
