Sporking Silent Melody: Author's note

Is it that time, already? I guess it is.

After inflicting her two stories Shinra High and Shinra SOLDIER upon the unsuspecting Final Fantasy VII community, Sephirothslave was inspired by the release of Advent Children into adding a third part to her morally corrupted saga of suck. And so, on April 30th 2006, a great shadow descended upon theRead more... )

The pic was hilarious, though I'll confess a great deal of dread that even Slave will admit this to be OOC. Although, I thought that she considered herself to be the foremost expert on what really happened in FVII, above and beyond the actual creators? Because if so, one would think that she wouldn't state this to be out of character when it's Square that got it wrong, in her mind at least.

This whole I-know-them-better delusion started more than four years after she wrote Silent Melody, I think. It's pretty recent, anyway, and by that I mean two years or something.

The phrase 'this oughta be deliciously stupid' probably doesn't even begin to do this fic justice.

As always, you have my snark should you need or desire assistance.

but
how

how can she ignore such an important plot point??

Just...ho-- oh wait, she can ignore such an important plot point like how she ignored 99% of the OG canon and proceed to get almost every character wrong. Stupid of me to ask. *puts face in hands*

Pfft, the mysterious and terminal illness killing thousands of people all over the world isn't nearly as important as her sociopathic boytoy and his clones being rescued!

Besides, Geostigma was Sephiroth's doing, so she'd havw to confront the idea that Sephiroth is, in fact, a VILLAIN. And we can't have that! Not to mention it would mean that there are thousands of people with Jenova cells inside them, just normal people, who didn't succumb to Jenova's will and turn into mindless spineless sociopaths, and that just ruins the JPT.

You think she would at least try and blame it on Jenova, then handwave the global crisis that was a MAJOR PLOT POINT IN ADVENT CHILDREN as fixed thank to Tseng's genius.

2.) As in Shinra SOLDIER, the 'Jenova Possession' theory still stands. This is, as usual for my fanfics, the basis for my belief that Sephiroth and his clones are not evil.
The amusing thing is that JPT is a lot closer to the truth for the Remnants than it ever was for Sephiroth. Still completely wrong, but closer.

3.) Because of the former relationships in Shinra High and Shinra SOLDIER, the Turks are against AVALANCHE.
Well, the Turks are part of ShinRa, so they've always been against AVALANCHE. They're just willing to put that aside when a bigger threat is around. Like Sephiroth.

4.) Loz may or may not be a little out-of-character, but I don't know yet. If he is, I blame it on Jenova's possession of his body.
Wow, she's not usually that upfront about her laziness. If you're not sure he's in character or not, go watch it again until you are!
And the "Oh, if I'm wrong a wizard Jenova did it," excuse is extremely weak. Since she doesn't even know if he's out of character, she certainly can't know how he's out of character. What if ( ... )
